The Defense Intelligence Enterprise (DIE) must adapt its mindset and approach by embracing Digital Transformation. In order to evolve how the Department of Defense (DoD) delivers intelligence to the warfighter, while providing the unifying focus to realize next-generation capabilities, the Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence and Security (OUSD[I&S]) is embarking on a Digital Transformation campaign known as Project Herald. Heralds throughout history have signaled significant change on the horizon; Project Herald represents our bold step forward to solidify our competitive advantage. The Project Herald Campaign Plan will fundamentally change how intelligence is delivered to warfighters, by shifting to a holistic enterprise approach through establishing enterprise management functions and growing existing capabilities into enterprise services.
